// 80’s songtracks — – dejenme volver.

Some of these movies are pretty stupid (Mannequin), some of them i still love (The Goonies, Lost Boys, Mad Max), and some of them i haven’t watched in a long time (The Legend of Billie Jean, Real Genius, Pretty in Pink).

and/or

Some of these songs are pretty stupid, some of them i still love, and most of them i hadn’t listened to in a long time.

For this sweet nostalgic afternoon, let us dip into our childhood memory haze.

The Psychedelic Furs, Pretty in Pink, (from Pretty in Pink).
Cyndi Lauper, Goonies (Are Good Enough), (from The Goonies).
Echo & The Bunnymen, People Are Strange, (from Lost Boys).
Pat Benatar, Invincible, (from The Legend of Billie Jean).
Simple Minds, (Don’t You) Forget About Me, (from Breakfast Club).
Tears for Fears, Everybody Wants To Rule The World, (from Real Genius).
Starship, Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now, (from Mannequin).
Tina Turner, We Don’t Need Another Hero, (from Mad Max III: Beyond Thunderdome).

Extra:
Tears for Fears, Head Over Heels, (used in a wonderful/gets-me-nostalgic sequence from the-not-made-but-set-in-the-80’s Donnie Darko).

Arte: Poster from Heathers, teen suicide has never seemed funnier.

Probablemente Vol. I…

:) este post me ha puesto de buenas, cindy lauper es una de mis artistas favoritas.

Te acuerdas del soundtrack de To Live & Die In L.A.?

The version of Pretty In Pink you posted is not from the movie…it is the original version…the Furs re-did the song for the movie and I much prefer the second version..it is much better than this earlier version you have!

Oh my - I was a teenager back then. I suddenly feel very old….

Recall having all kinds of problems finding the Pretty In Pink soundtrack. Simply HAD to get it, so I could listen to the new songs by OMD and New Order.
