some great explosion, a metamorphosed
tug clawing the imagined
fall: to be dead at the dead wind’s hand,
and indistinguishable as indistinguishable trees against
the passive ever changing labor of thought.
- J. Schneider, The Gesture of Seasons.
Fall comes early. This small list announces it. Starts out as a random filler list (between “five easy list for lovers” and “fall best of album” ), this list takes its own life as a brutal mood list. It’s the type that goes one direction. Once listened end to end, mood is completely transformed, like fall laves folliage. They beautiful and full of colors, but once the process starts, the leaves won’t turn green again. It’s irreversible process awaiting for early winter dark sky and melancholy.
In the list: Steady, open air rythm, moody, like fall breeze. It moves and sweeps. (Ane Brun, Calexico) The opening and closing gems that dictate the mood, check them out. (Buckwheat Zydeco, Thee More Shallows) The rest are stories in between.

btw,
I just played the list backward. It actually works… you ends up feelign happy instead of vaguely melancholic…
haa!
Try ’secret of love’ people. It’s excellent.
sq said “this list takes its own life as a brutal mood list” :o
calexico the best
It is brutal. I think. Any list that doesn’t end with satisfying/positive mood is brutal. It’s my little hollywood rule.
The best mood list always leave vaguely satisfying and happy mood.
