what? who? whoa quick response… but why are you thanking me? lol. quite contraire, thank you adam.

From the two tracks I’ve heard that’s a tight album by pattern is movement on your label- I’ll have enough money in a pair of months to go all order frenzy and I’ll be definitely ordering that one.

It’d be sweet to hear your exquisite shares around here soon you know the motel’s doors are always open for you - so sorry to hear about the harddrive breakage :( anything I can do to help?

    hey, it’s me, anonymous.

I was playing that london apartments track and it sounded a lot like flaming lips and you know that means im loving it.

About that Scott Solter remix, is that the same Scott Solter that released one river on tell-all records last year? Dreamy ambient record, really good- the remix sounds too percussive for him though so I’m not sure if it’s him. Good lead still.

Last question: is that the galaktlan from iceland? There’s a decent post-rock band in Iceland with that name, haven’t heard anything about them in bout 2/3 years… it doesnt sound like them.

Sweet, eagle! I’m mailing you tomorrow ;)

hmmm anonymous… I don’t think the london apartments do sound like flaming lips but we both agree on that they sound good. There’s more freebies from them on archive and they have recently been signed to beggar’s banquet and they released an ep a month ago. I’ve been a fan of them since I heard them on a sutemos compilation almost a year ago.

I think that’s the scott solter from tell-all records couldn’t tell… (adam, help?)

mmm I’ve no clue about a post-rock galaktlan, to be honest I haven’t heard too much of it… here’s the bio and discography… hope it refreshes something…:

oi moka! love most of the songs on the motel but most of all love the image picks, I’ve discovered many interesting artists via this blog. I’m pretty excited with Goldmine shithouse right now, another instant addition to my list of favorites, thank you.

Dear Anonymous…yes indeed, this is the same Scott Solter from Tell All Records ambient masterpiece One River. He does indeed love the beats too. However, on other moments on this remix cd you’ll find him making sweet, sweet ambient sounds….

I highly recommend it, but that’s also cuz i put it out :D
Did I mention that the packaging is beautiful?

lol. I also think the feathers synchromy ep packaging is beautiful.

And hey, you know kathleen lolley in person? I love her artwork and just now noticed the shedding ep has her artwork on the cover. magnificent choice.

btw, meaning to ask out of curiosity… is placetapes still functioning as a label? the only release in there is nick butcher’s and that one is also on hometapes.

yes, technically placetapes is still a label…there are a few potential releases in the works….we posted nick’s album on the hometapes site so more people could hear about it…

i’m really hoping to do a small placetapes release soon…it may end up being some of my music….perhaps i’ll do a record over the christmas holiday…i started some material with my friend matt from feathers before i left Miami, but we didn’t get too far…

I have not met kathleen in person, but we worked from a distance with her on the shedding record (which is at the printing press now!!!)…it’s actually a full length even though it’s only 3 songs….i think the ekkehard ehlers fans out there are going to dig it….kathleen’s artwork for the release is incredible….the packaging will definitely be along the sparse route, and we are planning to do a limited run vinyl release so we can showcase her artwork even larger!

and for nick butcher fans: he’s got a new album on the way too…and it totally rules!

    hi :)
i think song #7 is the wrong one…
it says “Kiln - King Of Wasps” but the file says “Am-Boy_-_Collection”. the Kiln MP3 is here:
