Johnny's Garden was the very first tune I wanted to play when I bought a (cheap) 12 stringed guitar in the 70's. Thanks for the memories...!

I don't even have a computer at home, I work with them and they are no longer welcome in my house, hee hee. I used to rely on the unintended charity of Internet Cafe's previously but I got fed up with it. Christopher from Another Night On Earth is doing all the uploading for me for his blog. All the stuff I've posted there has been from vinyl that I own, cos he has a setup to do that kind of thing. I wanted to post both Dreamland and Golden Avatar on here awhile ago already but I never could cos I couldn't record them. The track by Movement In The City that was posted today is an ultra rarity and it was really cool to get that one online, especially since it's from South Africa. I'm hoping Chris will let me do some short mixes, podcast style, which I intend to post here when it all comes together. We'll see how that goes. He was actually a fan of the Motel before I met him again and he was pretty surpised that it was me posting all along. Oh yeah, we do both have the same first name just in case anyone thought I may have lost my mind and started blogging with two personalities... you never know...

MK,

if you run XP, you also can use the "built-in" ftp application.

after you make the connection, (as in the email)
then you should be able to drag and drop file, just as you do inside your own computer.

I think I need to master this Dreamhost business so that I can do a post on here. I actually did one but gave up trying to upload the tracks. Mr. Keyz will help me I'm sure, cos he's got broadband at home and such. Y'know he's actually one of my oldest friends and we finally bumped into each other again after about 10 years or something. He makes music videos for dance labels in the U. S. and elsewhere. I didn't even realise, he was just telling me the other day all blase like, and I was like, huh? Weird, I probably should pay more attention or something. Should have realised something was up, he knows Franscois K. and Larry Heard and all these other people. Anyway I'm just overjoyed that we're friends again.

Hey, just listening to them, great songs Moka! A couple of years ago someone once gave me a mixtape with lots of stuff like Jackson Browne and Gram Parsons on it and I remember this Manassas track being amongst them. Great track, I love that early 70s sound! Hope you'll have a good time up there in the mountains.

Chris: thanks so much for the kind words, please enjoy your stay.
Mkrgk: I loved that joni mitchell and golden avatar tracks you posted on "another night on earth" they would sound good mixed with this ones. I definitely find the list warmer than most of the music we've been having up here lately, but it really must be the time of year.

fk: they're the same band. Amorphous androgynous was a sort of psychedelic side project from FSOL, they released two albums under the moniker: "the isness" which is a great album from which the track above comes from and "alice in ultraland" released 2005, that one is very unfocused, i didn't like it. I haven't heard any news about them dont know if they plan to release something new soon.
