I almost wish somebody combining IDM and bossa nova but with a twist of free jazz. I believe IDM will be clearly overshadowed by danceable electronica this year with the kind of dumbfuck disposable lyrics we've been hearing throughout 2006 (this isn't a complaint I'm more of a sound based listener not lyric based so I'll take what they sell me if the music is good) There's many important post-rock and IDM records coming up (Fridge!!!) so time will tell. I'd love to hear the Garbarek-Peyroux-Mary Lou Williams-and most of all the Django Reinhardt style dominating the scene that's my biggest wish up for 2007's music.
