excellent eye-openers as always, bubbachups. MV & EE is really strange and interesting (albeit highly inaccessible). check out men-an-tol on static caravan. just did a review of them here. a little bit medieval&traditional in contrast to your folk taste but great music nonetheless. ;)

Excellent post, bubbachups. Aaron Martin's collages are calmingly simplistic and mindmelting. I love him.

Thanks all! :-)

Robert, I'm glad you like the tunes. Deaf Center is really great indeed. One of the two Deaf Center members owns the great Miasmah label. He's been putting very interesting things lately, very similar to Deaf Center.

Some interesting names you mention, Moka. I'm definitely interested in the new Badgerlore album, I haven't heard it yet, but their previous Stories For Owls was very good. And thanks for introducing me to the Mark Templeton and Brendan Murray albums! I just checked some bits of them and they are really awesome. They are already on my ever growing to-buy-list. Thanks. :-)

I wanted to do a post about Charlemagne Palestine, such a fantastic minimal composer whom I've discovered recently, but all the records I have of him only consist of one 50min+ track. Lol, I guess that's the only way to be somewhat mp3-blog proof. ;-)

Also, I just found out Philip Glass will be performing in my hometown this October!

Thanks for posting the inspiring music that others music blogs may not.Great post about Aaron Martin, now I can't get the Karl Rove tune out of my head.
Have you listened to Deaf Center, they use all kinds of
sounds such as battered record players, creaky doors, cash registers & muffled ticket booth ambience. Sort of cinematic music. Thanks for keeping me up to date with all the wonderful music out there.

Sincerely, Robert-sleepmonk
