Welcome to Spaceport Hippo

Welcome to Spaceport Hippo.

– Factoid.

In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. Many races believe it was created by some sort of God, but the Jatravartid people of Viltvodle VI firmly believed that the entire universe was, in fact, sneezed out of the nose of a being called the Great Green Arkleseizure. The Jatravartids, who lived in perpetual fear of the time they called “The Coming of the Great White Handkerchief” were small, blue creatures with more than fifty arms each. They were unique in being the only race in history to have invented the aerosol deodorant before the wheel. – Viltvodle VI (from Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy)

Note: Another summer list. This is samba lounge, nothing but mellow. (Question: why is it when you land at different airport, the music afterward is always tacky? They sound completely off, different planet. For once I want to hear something nice. Well, this is my version of interplanetary tackiness. Probably the creature on the other side of the galaxy has better music taste.)

    Funny and tacky followup squashed :) Id love me some lounge for space travelling, some Esquivel or Mancini wouldn’t sound out of place in here. It might sound ironic coming from me but normally I never listen to music while travelling on a planes. I tend to get the songs stuck in my head and then I can’t concentrate or fall asleep because I’m thinking about them.

    Pradoc: hehehe, that Flying spaghetti monster thing is hilarious.

The song makes its imprint
in the air, making itself felt,
a felt world. Here, there,
the stunned silence

of knowing I will not remember
what I heard;

futures that will never happen,
a fluidity we cannot achieve
except as a child
creating possibility.

This is the untranslatable song
hidden in the earth.
