09. Martha Argerich - Danza del viejo boyero (Danzas Argentinas, Op. 2: I. by Alberto Ginastera)
Live from the Concertgebouw, 1978 & 1979 (2000)

Note: A fairly involved list I made after last Deerhoof post debacle. It has shifting rhythm, layered, a lot of precise and fast pieces. I love it. Martha Argerich particularly. (star struck, majorly. a crush.) Everybody in there is my musical heroes. Also: I am trying to get away as far as possible from rock. I’ll get back to it when I feel like it. but not now.

I am not sure how well this list will go. But it’s meant to go as far away from rock structure as possible. It opens with ambient piece that has funny implied rhythm. A little cheesy, I know, but I like it.

All The rest has incredible rhythmic idea one way or another. mkay that’s it.

    - angeles,
these lists are your best side, how do you say for stand out? ”

Overwhelmingly brilliant? :P … (heh, but thanks for the compliment. They are fun to make.)

    - Claudine,
    kieran and steve reid collab,

I think they are worth following. First attempt to get away from drum machine in IDM that cought my attention. I hope it’ll give us a lot of interesting rhythm in the future. Drum machine is just so dull and dead after awhile. IMHO, IDM should pick up where jazz left off in term of percussion. It’ll be the best music there is for sure.
