Getting drowned is trippy. To watch the water flows by and feel the touch of water surround you is obsessive. It’s safest place and no one and nothing bothers. We could have a nice walk at the bottom of the lake, or maybe, have a long comfortable dream along the sound of the waves.

    Nice! Excellent companion for my sea related post from a while back actually. I even see we share the Andrew Liles track. So that’s the Piano Magic track you told me about back then? Very nice track indeed, very atmospheric.

    Impressive collection of labels this time around too: Creel Pone, ECM, Free Porcupine, Die-Schachtel, Beta-Lactam Ring, New Albion… I especially love that Stuart Dempster track. You’ve recommended his music to me before, I can see why now, haha. Very beautiful track. I only knew him from his contributions to the Deep Listening project with Pauline Oliveros, but now I see I will have to get some of his solo stuff too. :-)

    Funny coincidence that you posted something by Luciano Cilio from the Die Schachtel label. I was introduced to this release just a couple of days ago through the latest edition of Hatch on WFMU. Since their Zeit series I’ve been a big fan of Die Schachtel, I was just about to order some of their older releases including this one by Luciano Cilio. :-)

    Very beautiful. The Son de Mar album was actually comissioned as the soundtrack for the movie of the same name by spanish director Bigas Luna, very recommended watch. Thank you.

    Very nice theme with some wonderful songs! Thanks. I always love to see Linda Perhacs mentioned anywhere.

The song makes its imprint
in the air, making itself felt,
a felt world. Here, there,
the stunned silence

of knowing I will not remember
what I heard;

futures that will never happen,
a fluidity we cannot achieve
except as a child
creating possibility.

This is the untranslatable song
hidden in the earth.
