note: I like reading clever quote made by design personalities, they are at the same time capture the moment, yet also nonsensical. The statements are driven by sheer personal brilliance and ability to define view. They are neither technical nor philosophical, It’s a projection of attitude. So is good downtempo tracks, all in the attitude. The well made ones are almost stylish. Sort of capture that suspended in time lounge mood. In the list are tracks from classic downtempo albums. Enjoy.

    Hah, gauguin. Now there is an interesting character with color. I like his Tahiti style.

    I am in one of those undetermined mood. Maybe I should post something absolutely decadent.

    Nicola Conte, Dimitri from Paris, Telepopmusik… a little ‘Cassius’ wouldn’t hurt this list at all

    I am really trying to find more non “major” label stuff. It’s so easy to slip and post their most obvious rooster.. (you can see in the list I am slipping already… heh.)

    i’m pretty sure talking about gauguin in one’s free time is a step above talking about people talking about gauguin in one’s free time … that’s just me though

  9. Moka says:

    An art enthusiast! And one with unflexible opinions about Gauguin! The ’5-year old could paint better’ description is a bit passé but yes, I think it would fit his work and it is in fact a big part of its appeal.

The song makes its imprint
in the air, making itself felt,
a felt world. Here, there,
the stunned silence

of knowing I will not remember
what I heard;

futures that will never happen,
a fluidity we cannot achieve
except as a child
creating possibility.

This is the untranslatable song
hidden in the earth.
