Hey all,
It's probably lame of me to post here about my band, but I just wanted to say thanks for the nice comments!!! Our album hasn't really gotten any press or anything, so it's extra nice to see a song posted here and such encouraging comments attached. Thanks!

the guy behind other peoples children is jason sweeney, formerly of adelaide, now based in melbourne. jason is, without exaggeration, one of the most prolific electronica producers in australia and his stuff is great. shoegaze-tinged electronica - you can draw a line from that track you posted straight to what he is doing now. fans should definitely check out pretty boy crossover, who have just put out a new album:

yeah,

we've posted all the "hip" stuff about a year ago. (neo-folk, folktronica, retro-pop punk, early hardcore, ... etc)

The top chart in elbo and hypem is a rehash sound, kinda sound like MdM archive from last year.

http://hypem.com/popular

# Iron & Wine
# Radiohead
# Animal Collective
# Devendra Banhart
# Ryan Adams
# Feist
# Justice
# Spoon
# Stars
# Beck
# Elliott Smith
# HOT CHIP
# Joy Division
# Peter Sarstedt

Admittedly, I am still not in the mood to post rock at all. .. so it's DnB and electronica for a while. I'll post more jazz, and probably things from around the net. I am trying to post brighter experimental. Something head bopping with twisted sound.

Thanks for that. Yeah agreed with Dan, that Paper song is awesome. The whole post is killer really!

I've been coming to this site for a few years now, and always assumed that you guys were fairly old, mid-thirties music geeks simply by the sheer depth and range of music knowledge that you all have. But it's rad that you're all around my age, 21, and also incredibly intimidating! But you guys do a fantastic job and I love coming to the site. Thanks.

Other people's children are Australian. Unfortunately the band broke up some years ago and seem to have no intention of getting back together.

Paper is a wife-husband duo from Connecticut. Their debut "as as" released this year is available through states right records (http://www.statesrightsrecords.com/shop/SRRAZ.html) for $10 inside the states and $12 international. I heartilly recommend the purchase, it's probably one of my most repeated listens of the year, if you liked the track on this post you wont be dissapointed.
