Caleidoscopio cromático

While listening to a melody or seeing a geometrical configuration, one is unaware of any non sensory process, nor is the theme experienced as consisting of two strata of different origin. On the contrary, the melody or the configuration, as given in immediate experience, appear as both homogeneous and altogether a matter of sensibility. It is with the same immediacy and intuitive freshness as displayed by the sensation of a color or a musical note, that the perceptual presentation of a melody, a musical interval, a spatial figure, a stereoscopic phenomneon is experienced.

Some weeks ago a reader mailed me asking me for some guidance on minimal techno similar to Gui Boratto. While I’m clearly not an expert in the genre, there are a few records and vynils in my collection which I think share in similar moods and tone colors and give me the same sort of serene sense of beauty and penetrating lucidity found in Gui Boratto’s music. Some of this songs were posted previously in here and rank among my favorite ones from the past years. They sound best on some good headphones or a good stereo system to appreciate clearly all those microtonal changes and constant rhythmic shifts. As additional recommendations I’d suggest a visit to blog Minimal land or the Mnml forum and its also hard to go wrong with zee popular german labels in the genre: Dial, Traum, Kompakt and Bpitch control. Hope you enjoy.

I think you would also like Robert Babicz’s next record.

His promo mix is of absolutely stunning beauty : http://www.mediafire.com/?b0llxwtdjmn

It’s also quite close to Traum or Border Community releases.
