note: Something different. Instead of purpose built playlist, this one takes form of a postcard like short message. That feeling of trying to tell so much in so little space. But it works anyway. I want it to be transparent and no irony, direct and wide as open sky. I think it works. Band to mention: Coltrane Motion, a band from Chicago just releases their latest album. Check it out it is a nice progression from their previous release. Richer and with much firmer execution, yet maintaining that oddly angular Chicago sound. Think of them as psych math rock.. (I made that up) Medeski Martin & Wood also released a new album. It’s incredibly fun, entirely different theme than their previously large and complicated work. This one is filled with children sound and adventure. Makes you smile and bop your head along. The album is worth checking out. I love it.

    I’m incredibly emotional right now in my life so hearing the story of the Squalb brought me to tears. Lovely.

    Urs Müller -

    hey, yer welcome. Yeah, the play between direct and ironic sometimes is taking over the music. A flat interpretation is a comforting tonic.

    Fionna Apple’s super long album title still impresses me the most. “…the pond…etc”

    Glad you like tht song. It’s a lovely album overall. It’s different and not as dark as the rest of MMW albums.

The song makes its imprint
in the air, making itself felt,
a felt world. Here, there,
the stunned silence

of knowing I will not remember
what I heard;

futures that will never happen,
a fluidity we cannot achieve
except as a child
creating possibility.

This is the untranslatable song
hidden in the earth.
