    I love this type of stuff too.

    Also, The Associations, “Never My Love” — instant mental catapult back to the 1980s, when I often heard this song on the easy listening radio station my parents were always tuned into. It makes me think of late evenings, driving home after dinner at an aunt’s house or wherever.

The song makes its imprint
in the air, making itself felt,
a felt world. Here, there,
the stunned silence

of knowing I will not remember
what I heard;

futures that will never happen,
a fluidity we cannot achieve
except as a child
creating possibility.

This is the untranslatable song
hidden in the earth.
