Welcome to the Jungle …

Spring has sprung — right into the Summer. The daily commute is no longer welcomed by a transition seasonal breeze, but rather by the lingering haze that sticks to the skin. The ambiance of the city is set by a heat no shade can quench and humidity thick enough to hold in one’s hand. The inner-Amazon need not travel overseas to experience the jungle, as this metropolis transforms itself into an urban jungle for the next three months. To welcome the sudden, but inevitable change, a Jungle list.
Like the title notes, this is a relatively introductory foray into the Drum n’ Bass genre, thus the first track is:
M Beat ft. General Levy Incredible
(Incredible (Single)/ 1994)
DJ Apex EZ Ting
(www.acidplanet.com/ 2005)
Roni Size/Reprazent Brown Paper Bag
(Brown Paper Bag (Single)/ 1997)
Frank de Wulf Drum in a Grip (Wax Doctor Mix)
(Logical Progression, Disc 2/ 1996)
Calibre/High Contrast Mr. Majestic
(Mr. Majestic/The Other Side 12″/ 2004)
Bad Company The Nine
(Essential Rewindz, Disc 2/ 2001)
Progressive Future Music (PFM) One & Only
(Conversions: A K&D Selection/ 1999)
Artemis Brazilian Sunrise
(Earth, Vol. 4/ 2000)

Superb playlist.
Hey this list is truly fun… I was trying to figure out some “crisp” beat, cause last few posts are getting too muddy.
gotta post some more on this ..(come on vacation is coming…)
sq: post more within this genre or post more frequently on the site … or both?
thanks ted, as long as my lists really connect with someone i consider them a success
both. just post more. lol.
I love this list tho’
(am trying to make a post. but too busy chatting.)
I didnt realise I liked jungle/ drum and bass, thanks. Ease me in a little more.
Disappointing, I thought.
will do my best lucky, i’m working on a follow up now … always glad to open ears
sorry to hear that ed, any requests?
Finally some drum n bass! Nobody ever posts any dnb these days. Sometimes I spend hours just searching it out just so I can find out about some new artists. Not that this post is necessarily exposing new artists but still, good work!
thanks dusty, always glad to hear positive feedback. i’ll try to post more indie/unknown artists in the future. dnb is a rarity though, unfortunately.
Check out the UKs Appleblim and Peverelist – pretty good stuff.
I just found these guys on YouTube. Relatively unknown at the moment, but very original and different for drum and bass. Unusual videos too.
some good tunes, one and only!! ha, shame some of them are mixed though :( would have been great to have a good version of the nine!!
haha indeed … i’ll see what i can do about the nine for you george ;o)
