Well, my first thougths went to Ellen Allien’s “floating points”… pudong, ping-pong, industrial noise, iterative daily rites… Salem it’s new for me, while I have to put mind on the whole Knife’s discografy in order to find something that could fit, cause at this moment I’m not able to remember no one track suitable. Angry viking: I watched Akira many years ago and I enjoyed very much the animation, I can’t remember too much of it though asides the scene with the giant toys and opening bike sequences, I’ll try and give it a second watch this summer. Thanks.
Jungle: Read my mind, a few minutes before publishing I was thinking about adding something out of ‘orchestra of bubbles’ but I had to rush off. I haunt wizards is very interesting :) Concerning Salem, they fo sound like a poor man’s ‘the knife’ from what I’ve heard in myspace, hope they bring the production up a few notches before releasing the album.
Dave: ‘Resident Advisor’ is a great source for anything coming up around the techno/house scene although there’s no mp3’s or streams in there (they do have some neat weekly podcasts, right now they have an amazing dj set by Four Tet). I think there’s very few mp3 blogs strictly covering house/techno but I’d recommend checking randomcircuits.com and their blogroll on the sidebar for a few more recommended blogs (little white eardrums, get the curse, among others…)
