I'd suggest perhaps "life in a glasshouse" by Radiohead if you haven't heard it yet (the extended version on the b-sides is better) it is very influenced by dixieland funeral jazz. Also this compilation of funeral jazz music might help you: http://www.discogs.com/release/489425 Jungle: Ry Cooder! wicked! wouldn't sound out of place at all :) Paris, texas is one of my favorite soundtracks of all time.
