Summer Dance (Paris Edition)

- My attraction was hard to explain—she was so artistically driven, so demure and yet so bold, and those swimming eyes! I was lost in soul-to-soul contact. I checked her out of the library again and again, but when the summer came I found I needed her more than ever. I had to take her home with me. Anaïs. I bought all her diaries—the boxed set—a huge investment. By the time I went back to college in the fall and moved into a beautiful old half-wrecked farmhouse off campus, I was soaked in the oils of my own manufactured delirium. - Louise Erdrich, The Reptile Garden

note: This is really a simple summer hip-hop. Mostly euro mix I found in french blog. (hence french edition) What is it with parisians and electro? Whatever it is, this one is a mellow summer beat. I think it’s passable and fun.

PS. The server issue is not quite resolved. We need to save bandwidth guys. quit clicking the “stream button” a million times. download it just once. Also use the RSS feed.

I can’t believe Sébastien Tellier’s song was the French Eurovision entry this year. I have never managed repeat listenings of anything that has come out of the Eurovision song contest, but I just can’t stop playing Devine.

    Excuse me squashed…
If you think that human kind is a wide collection of different persons, why don’t you think possible that these passable tracks could be for someone the most beautiful ever heard?
For converse, if you think that all the people have the same mind: why you give us low quality music?

I can suppose the answer is that you meant those tracks were passable for your taste.
Don’t fire me Moka for this comment! :)

not all music created equal that much is true. And not all music fits all mood and occasion.

specifically tracks above. yes they are just passable in term of construction. But they are fun. It’s a bit like fast food or shaved ice cream on hot summer day.

They are not the most intricate electronic dance mix, nor will I want to hear intricate house mix all the time.

And yes, sometimes I do post lousy list. (lol) There was a debate about that.

but the very minimum I try to make it fun to listen to.

nice work you are doing (about the track La belle et le bad boy the artist is Mc Solaar and the album is Cinquieme As: Fifth Ace)

I was going to make the comment about that track being by MC Solaar but someone beat me to the punch. You should take a listen to another track by him called “La La La La”(minus or plus a “la”).

not gonna lie sq. lily allen and mark ronson are one of my fav. dynamic duos — i could very well get flak for that but not as much as you would get for posting it haha either way cheers i definitely don’t mind the list … you know me and mainstream are far from enemies … its a fun list and i appreciate it as such … two thumbs fresh

You people are classified for as the pretentious “all-knowing” indie kids who find others not worthy of your attention because your nose is held too high. Let’s all stop thinking we know everything about music, please?

what/who is classified under the “you people” umbrella? … yknow just for reference
