What Do You Have for Lunch?

.

Random Lunch. Feeling Happy

01. The Innocence MissionOne For Sorrow, Two For Joy
Befriended (Badman Records, 2003)
02. Kettel - Palles’s Popsong
Myam James (Sending Orbs, 2008)
03. The Monkees - Goin’ Down
Greatest Hits (1995)
04. A Tribe Called QuestVerses From the Abstract
The Low End Theory (Jive, 1991)
05. Grand Archives - Miniature Birds
The Grand Archives (Sub Pop, 2008)

note: A short happy mix for lunch. I think I am reversing the usual mix. Instead of no voice to make for comfy lunch conversation, this one has conversational tone and clean rhythm composition. Mix of styles but the sound density is very controlled. You can almost hear chatty preschooler kids making noise in the background. It’s bounchy happy. k. I am hungry. lunch time for me. (I’ll post the rest of list later today. I am cramming it before end of day.)

have a great lunch.

I adore that monkees song, one of my favorites of them, although it’s been 2 years since the last time I heard it. A shame it isn’t that well known. Thanks for bringing back the memory sq.

Are you planning on doing some post this night or tomorrow? I have no idea on what to post during election week :P

The song makes its imprint
in the air, making itself felt,
a felt world. Here, there,
the stunned silence

of knowing I will not remember
what I heard;

futures that will never happen,
a fluidity we cannot achieve
except as a child
creating possibility.

This is the untranslatable song
hidden in the earth.
