The rounds of smoke come and go

Toute l’âme résumée quand lente nous l’expirons
Dans plusieurs ronds de fumée abolis en autres ronds
Atteste quelque cigare brûlant savamment pour peu
Que la cendre se sépare de son clair baiser de feu

The trouble with bad habits is that they are mutually reinforcing. And, just as a bank won’t lend you money unless you are too rich to need it, exercise is a pastime only for those who are already slender and physically fit. It just isn’t so much fun when you have a marked tendency to wheeze and throw up, and a cannonball of a belly sloshing around inside the baggy garments. In my case, most of my bad habits are connected with the only way I know to make a living. In order to keep reading and writing, I need the junky energy that scotch can provide, and the intense short-term concentration that nicotine can help supply. To be crouched over a book or a keyboard, with these conditions of mingled reverie and alertness, is my highest happiness.

I was a smoker for 13 years; I stop to smoke at the age og 27. I was an heavy smoker of marijuana from 16 till 23 years old. I almost was an alchoolist; when I was 16 the starters on our saturday were 2 negroni, while the gasman was filling of fuel my vespa 200cc.
The best thing I did in my life was when I decided to stop smoking. My life has really changed.
After an hard period of good habits during which you’ll experince some sufferings, you’ll finally find yourself stronger then you can imagine, for sure stronger (mind&body) then you currently are.
Add quality to your pleasure (and take care of yourself).

Thank u Moka so much! Great playlist… sweet and soulful.
you just have be perfect.
Hey Moka. Been following this blog for an age, (consistently fantastic at expanding my musical horizons. Thank you!) but for some reason the songs have stopped loading. Absolutely no reason why you should know the problem, but I’m getting sick of searching on Hype, so thought I’d see if I could get any ideas.. Ta!
heya fiona, could be the new filter (or if you use some version of IE)
We had big attack the other month and had to put very strict filter or else the site keep imploding.
also, if one click too many songs the server will trigger a time out.
But I am not sure if that is the case with yours… so hang on for a sec.
Fiona: Are you trying to load songs from your feed reader or directly from the site? A reader had that problem a while ago. As sq mentioned we were forced to add a filter that doesn’t allow streaming the mp3s anywhere but on the site.
Also as sq mentioned if IE7 is your browser of choice the playtagger will not load, I don’t know what they did over there but the script doesn’t load in the motel nor any other blog using the playtagger stream. Check (http://delicious.com/help/playtagger) if you can’t see the play buttons on the two examples at the bottom it’s a browser restriciton then.
note: I am quitting smoking. It’s been easy so far since I’m the kind of person who only smokes when drinking.
Peggy Lee - It’s A Good Day
Cannonball Adderley - Jive Samba - 1963
