… There was no sleeper more elegant than she, with her curved body posed for a dance and her hand across her forehead, but there was also no one more ferocious when anyone disturbed the sensuality of her thinking she was still asleep when she no longer was. - Love in the time of Cholera. pp 28.

note: I don’t know what this night list is about, except I noodle with it for hours back and forth around midnight. That’s why it’s a bit studied, not particularly flowing in sentimental way compared to other midnight list. But at the same time, I suppose some people might find the quicker pace enjoyable for night conversation. I’ll do slumbering rhythm in third part. Anyway, it opens with disassembled dub, then snap in various dub tracks. I also looked at archive, this is actually the first time I post a proper dub list instead of simple series of favorite picks. So at least that can be picked apart. Gem in the list: Tommy Guerrero and Quantic. I’ll post longer Bill Laswell works later in series. Also, as you notice posting frequency is about to cliff dive, since almost all of MdM posters will be busy. Maybe its time for open recruit?

Hey, Squashed (and Co.) -
What are the requirements for a new recruit?
Thanks,
SAG
Perhaps your best post. Love it.
i got into Tommy Guerrero after my brother showed me a skate video that used his music a few yrs back. You seriously can’t go wrong with Mr. Guerrero.
Recently finished that book! So it was nice to see something quoted from it. Márquez is a master! At least as far as the style and the flow and the writing goes. But alas, I must say I think he’s kind of kinky and criss-crossed in the head. The unwanted critique me.
SAG1015,
heya. there isn’t many requirements. Healthy obsession with music. Have some idea to share with public, bravely exploring the internet landscape, some sense of humor will come handy.
Main consideration: look at MdM archive to get some sense what MdM content and direction are. In general MdM posts popular music in thematic playlist form, but that is only out of habit. We are basically a free form mp3 blog, mainly posting music we like and think the world will get a tickle hearing it too. One exception: no major labels. We try not to post them. (There are various reasons for this and usually the biggest barrier to a lot of new posters.)
Pace and style: up to individual really. There are practical limitation to blogging mechanics, but they are minor.
