I notice that the lists become less and less “obscure” as they climb to the top, i.e. Bright Eyes, Fleet Foxes, Yo La.

Though, most of these I recognize only because of moka anyways.

    Gratitude.

yes, the no 1 list will be michael jackson, Jay-Z and U2. haa haa….

(actually, I don’t think moka is done tweaking the list yet. I still have the chance to insist how great math rock bands are…)

Yeah I’m actually still saving you a spot. Want to send me 4 songs for a mini year end playlist squashed?

This mix gave me a smile when I saw it -

My brother played acoustic versions of “Naked As We Came” and “Young Bride” at my wedding.

The other artists on this track list are also wonderful for the most part.

    Great compilation of songs.

  11. Moka said, February 21, 2010 @ 2:12 pm

    xxxx: Not ranked, just compiled.

Tara: Those are some odd choices for wedding songs, they are love songs, sure, but they’re both slightly obsessed with death. ‘Naked as we came’ acknowledges that one person always has to die before the other, the singer asking to be cremated when he finally goes, and ‘Young bride’ is , well, about a sick dying bride.
