Simple and Sweet, Uncomplicated

01. Antony & The Johnsons - Bird Gehrl
I Am a Bird Now (Secretly Canadian, 2005)
02. The Skygreen Leopards - Egyptian Circus
Disciples Of California (Jagjaguwar, 2006)
03. Ani DiFranco - As Is
Little Plastic Castle (Righteous Babe, 1998)
04. Amy Winehouse - Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow
Bridget Jones The Edge Of Reason (2004)
05. Ursula 1000 - The Girl from NOWHERE
Kinda Kinky (Eighteenth Street, 2002)
06. Kashmere Stage Band - Kashmere
Bad Medicine: The Funky 16 Corners (Stones Throw, 2001)
07. Kutiman - Once You’re Near Me (feat. Elran Dekel) (Myspace)
Kutiman (Groove Attack, 2008)

note: Happy VD everybody. This year the list will be as straight forward and direct as it can be. Unlike the previous two year where it went really elaborate. Think of this somewhere between a box of chocolate, where you manage to taste everything inside the box without getting a diabetic coma and a simple warm hug. There is nothing to it. It’s a simple pleasure. Share it with somebody of course. Song note: Kutiman is a new funk band based in Tel Aviv, supposedly they will have a show in NYC soon. (check their myspace pg.)

thanks for the posting. great music.
i may be wrong but i thinkkutiman is actually a solo project of a young producer from tel aviv. he played most instruments on his debut album.
    it sounds like sychedelic funk.

there are other cool funk artists in tel aviv these days.
