Voyage of Innocence

To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.
A robin redbreast in a cage
Puts all heaven in a rage.

- William Blake , Auguries of Innocence

note: Happy Thanksgiving everybody. I found this list I made for mia two years ago. Maybe it’s a look back what MdM sounds like in 2005. I think I made this around the time of another list “Midnight Lover”, a series of late night soft tunes. They have mix of classic IDM, pop and a little folks. A bit flamboyant, looking back.

This quote from Blake is one of my favorites. It always remembers me of beautiful moments in my life. It’s been long time since I had not entered your site. And now I am surprised by this motto. Congrats.

Your entries always make me feel better about being an audiophile. Right now I’m in my office at work eating sushi on a Saturday night. Instead of going out, I’m spending the next several hours digging for tunes. Tomorrow I’m doing it all again.

    Good stuff.

    Hello,
This is the best music blog I’ve ever visited. It was exciting to see In the Mood for Love stills, Wordsworth, and Blake quotes among such satisfying music and capsules of deft prose. Congratulations do seem in order, I think motel de moka strikes as something of an accomplishment even on a cursory viewing. So, thank you, my busy week has become more enjoyable because of this site. It’s true.

I haven’t gone longer than 24 hours since it came out without listening to that Paavoharju track at least once, usually more. I love that you opened with it here; very nice.

The song makes its imprint
in the air, making itself felt,
a felt world. Here, there,
the stunned silence

of knowing I will not remember
what I heard;

futures that will never happen,
a fluidity we cannot achieve
except as a child
creating possibility.

This is the untranslatable song
hidden in the earth.
