The indeterminate peripheral zone

Then, the field of vision assumes a peculiar structure. In the center there is the favored object, fixed by our gaze; its form seems clear, perfectly defined in all its details. Around the object, as far as the limits of the field of vision, there is a zone we do not look at, but which, nevertheless, we see with an indirect, vague, inattentive vision. If it is not something to which we are accustomed, we cannot say what it is, exactly, that we see in this indirect vision.

A soft lunch list. Sweet and mellow around the corners, warm and slightly sensuous in the middle. Maybe a short dinner for two.
How was your day, love?

As you might have noticed we’re changing the look of the motel. Bad timing on my part since we’ve all been a tad busy  lately. Please let us know if you find anything fishy or dusty so we can work it out as soon as possible. Thank you.

Missed you Moka. I love most all the music and the contributors, but I have a special affinity to the music you post, Moka.

    Thanks to everyone

Great great mix. What a lovely way to start my workday — especially that sumptuous Cooke opener. The Withers cover was very very strong too. Thanks Moka!

Fantastic stuff. I’ve been listenting for a couple fo years, but I’ve never been able to get the player you use to consistently work on my computer; I have to listen through Hype Machine. Is there something I need to download?

  6. Moka says:

Are you using IE? the player works fine on Firefox, Opera and Safari but I have never been able to make it work on IE. Read that IE usually gives problems with user scripts and have tried several solutions but none of them have worked.

The song makes its imprint
in the air, making itself felt,
a felt world. Here, there,
the stunned silence

of knowing I will not remember
what I heard;

futures that will never happen,
a fluidity we cannot achieve
except as a child
creating possibility.

This is the untranslatable song
hidden in the earth.
